Stockyards Event Center on track for summer completion

Construction continues on the new Stockyards Event Center. Scheduled for completion this summer, this 46,000-square-foot facility will debut at the 2022 National Western Stock Show!

With views of the Rocky Mountains and downtown Denver, the building’s two arenas will play host to lectures and seminars, live music, corporate events, conventions and other gatherings. During the National Western Stock Show each January, it will not only consolidate and replace several Stock Show facilities from years prior, but will also complement and support the new stockyards.

Right now, crews are installing its main entry doors and are creating its front entry vestibule. They have also begun an exterior staircase, which will connect to the balcony on the west side of the building.

Additionally, construction is underway on the new National Western Drive that runs north-south through campus. Work is ongoing to remove barriers to the South Platte River and create six acres of open space.
